Effective Presentations

Objectives:

Want to keep your audience engaged? This 2-hour session runs through the basics of effective PowerPoint and universal design techniques. You will then be given the opportunity to format a presentation in class using what you learned in the workshop using simple everyday computer tools and apps, the instructors will be on hand to guide you through this exercise.

By the end of this workshop participants will:

• Create a presentation that flows from one point to the next and makes it easier for you deliver that presentation
• Construct a PowerPoint presentation based on colour, contrast, and font
• Describe the basic elements of universal design and why they need to be included in your presentation
• Work with simple computer tools and apps to enhance your presentation
